Identification
About Bees
- Bees are flower-feeding flying insects which collect nectar and pollen from wildflowers.
- They commonly live in colonies with three different types of bees:
- Queen Bee — only job is to lay eggs for the span of her life.
- The Drone (male) — only job is to mate with the queen and then die soon after fulfilling that task.
- The Infertile Worker (female) — clean the hive, collect pollen and nectar to feed the colony, take care of the offspring.

When to Treat
Identify before action
- If bees are causing a threat to human welfare, treatment is appropriate — for example, near a children's playground, in the structure of a home, or in areas where humans frequent.
- That said, it remains important to identify the type of bee first. Some species are protected pollinators and should be relocated rather than treated.
Our approach
We always assess the species and location before recommending treatment. When relocation is the right call, we coordinate with local beekeepers. When treatment is required for safety, we use targeted methods that protect the rest of your yard.
